With your two cards, you want to get a total as close to 9 as possible:
• Tens and face cards are zero.• The Ace is a value of 1
• Cards 2-9 are face value.
• There is not a busting hand! If your hand goes over the value of 9, the first digit gets dropped. For example if you have a hand with a value of 10, the first digit gets dropped, leaving you with a hand of zero.
A WINNING BACCARAT HAND
• A 'natural' hand is that of the first two cards equalling an 8 or a 9.
• The natural hand wins, unless there is a tie between two naturals.
• If there isn't a natural winning hand, then another card is drawn to the player and the banker. This will be done to determine a winner.
• The casinos will usually tax the winning banker hand by 5%.
• A point to keep in mind is that the banker isn't necesarrily the casino employee.
BACCARAT STRATEGY
Don't fall into the trap of any baccarat strategy that is based on previous hands. There is no way to tell what the next hand will do based on the previous hand!

This is something that comes in handy when you are counting cards in blackjack, you can use the oppurtunity to increase your bet when you have a good chance of the next card being in your favour.
Basically there is not a good system, or baccarat strategy that will increase your odds of winning. When you look at the numbers, you will notice that your odds are a always a little better when betting on the banker.
